Bullock Texas State History Museum "Not Alone" Exhibit

The Weslaco Museum's July exhibit in the art gallery is  "Not Alone: Working Together in the Fight Against Human Trafficking". The Weslaco Museum will be one of many locations that will display this traveling exhibit from the Bullock Museum in Austin, TX.

Harrowing, educational, and empowering

The Museum invites you to view this informational exhibit that aims to spread awareness about the dangers of human trafficking. Stories of survivors and advocates help to reveal answers to guiding questions: what is human trafficking? who does trafficking affect? what role do healthy relationships play? what is the role of social media? and what can I do?

GIVE BACK TO THE SURVIVORS

The Weslaco Museum is hosting a “Night of Giving” on August 18 at 6 p.m. for the Not Alone exhibit. The event aims to raise awareness and donations for two organizations: Polaris Project and Love 146.  The non-profits chosen work diligently on helping combat the issue of human trafficking and child exploitation.  The museum encourages the community to visit the museum, view the exhibit, and donate to the cause. The event will be semi-formal and will include light refreshments.
