Will’n in Weslaco is the Rio Grande Valley’s first and only annual Shakespeare festival. Every spring, Weslaco—its citizens, businesses, and public institutions—celebrates one play by the Immortal Bard.

  The STC Library will host a lecture by Professor Gish (University of Houston) on Shakespeare’s Macbeth on April 18 at 6 p.m.

Art exhibition opening

  Weslaco’s Tower Theatre, under the direction of Rolando Martinez, will be performing Shakespeare’s The Tragedy of Macbeth. Performances will run between April 20th and 29th, 2023. Specific dates and times are TBA.

 Join us in celebrating the artists with a wine & cheese opening on Saturday, April 15th. Artwork will be available to purchase. More information to come.

Weslaco’s  Mayor Joe V. Sanchez Public Library will screen a film adaptation of Macbeth on the 19th and 26th of April.

Local craft beer artisans will compete for the coveted ShakesBeer Trophy. On April 29th the audience, actors and artisans will all gather under the Weslaco Tower to imbibe and decide upon the People’s Choice and the Judge’s Selection. Macbeth themed beers promise to wash away any toil and trouble.
